    Good morning, Ivan Kuzmich. Though how good can it be when I've been awake since four?

    Что так, сынок? Комары заели или тишина непривычная?

    How come, son? Mosquitoes eating you alive, or not used to the quiet?

    Петух ваш в четыре утра орёт прямо под окном. Нельзя ли потише?

    Your rooster crows right under my window at four in the morning. Couldn't he be a bit quieter?

    Потише? Он же петух, а не радио. И вообще, он тут раньше тебя поселился.

    Quieter? He's a rooster, not a radio. And anyway, he settled here before you did.
