Pyotr Ilyich, how about we put a door with a lock on our hallway?

Дверь-то можно. Только я ключ в первый же день посею.
A door, sure. Only I'll go and lose the key on the very first day.

Сделаем запасные, а закрывать будем только на ночь.
We'll make spares, and we'll only lock it at night.

А запасные куда девать? Их ведь тоже можно потерять.
And where do we put the spares? They can get lost too.

Then let them stay at my place, since I'm always home. If I lose mine, the spare will be right at hand!
