Boss, come over here a moment. Has the wiring in this apartment ever been replaced?

I don't think so. The building's from the sixties, we never touched it.

Оно и видно: под обоями алюминий, ещё родной. Менять надо всю.
It shows: under the wallpaper it's aluminum, the original. It all needs replacing.

All of it? That's another fifty thousand on the estimate! Maybe we leave it for now?

Оставить можно. Но заменить сейчас дешевле, чем потом ломать новую плитку.
You can leave it. But replacing it now is cheaper than breaking up the new tiles later.
