Day 37: A Car Seat for the Baby

At a children's store in Kaluga, a father-to-be chooses a car seat with the help of a young sales assistant.

    Нам нужно автокресло для малыша. Какое у вас самое безопасное?

    We need a car seat for our baby. Which one is your safest?

    Вот это. Несмотря на размер, оно легче и безопаснее остальных.

    This one. Despite its size, it's lighter and safer than the others.

    Беру. Поможете поставить? Я такие ещё ни разу не ставил.

    I'll take it. Will you help me put it in? I've never installed one like this.

    Пойдёмте. Поскольку оно большое, ставить его лучше на заднее сиденье.

    Let's go. Since it's big, it's best to put it on the back seat.

    Вот моя старушка. Ну что, влезает?

    Here's my old girl. So, does it fit?

    Кресло-то отличное, а вот в эту дверь оно не пролезет. Может, и машину заодно поменяете?
