Day 28 - Road Trip Troubles

Today's Tasks

1. Read the lesson context.
2. Listen to the audio clips several times until the sounds feel familiar. Do not repeat aloud—just listen and absorb.
3. Download the Anki deck and review it daily. It includes all the audio clips in today's lesson for efficient review. Review previous decks if prompted to do so.
4. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Russian audio. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it.

  Блин, похоже, колесо спустило. Машина тянет влево.

  Damn, looks like we have a flat tire. The car is pulling to the left.

  Точно. Придётся останавливаться. У нас запаска есть?

  Exactly. We'll have to stop. Do we have a spare tire?

  Должна быть. Сейчас съеду на обочину, глянем.

  There should be. I'll pull over to the shoulder and we'll check.

  После проверки Да, пробило заднее колесо. Доставай домкрат.

  After checking Yeah, the rear tire is punctured. Take out the jack.

  Хорошо, что мы в городе ещё, а не в чистом поле. Здесь хоть шиномонтаж недалеко.

  Good thing we're still in the city and not in the middle of nowhere. At least there's a tire shop nearby.

  Угу, повезло. Давай я помогу колесо поменять, вдвоём быстрее.

  Yeah, lucky us. Let me help change the tire; it'll be faster with both of us.

  Спасибо. Заодно научусь, а то ни разу не менял сам.

  Thanks. I'll learn in the process, since I've never changed one myself.

  Вот и пригодится опыт. Минут через 15 уже поедем дальше.

  The experience will come in handy. In about 15 minutes we'll be on the road again.
