   Зачин классический, Рашид Ильдарович, не придерёшься. Но предупреждаю: на тост отца у меня по сценарию четыре минуты, а у вас, я вижу, три страницы.

   A classic opening, Rashid Ildarovich, nothing to fault. But I'm warning you: my script gives the father's toast four minutes, and I see you've got three pages.

   Жених прав: притчи уместны на юбилеях, а на свадьбе гости ждут, когда можно будет кричать «Горько!». Пусть будет короче, зато от сердца.

   The groom is right: parables suit milestone birthdays, but at a wedding the guests are waiting for the moment they can shout "Kiss!". Let it be shorter, but from the heart.

   Короче, значит. Ладно, горшок убираю, хотя притча мудрая, её ещё мой отец рассказывал. Пожелания-то хоть оставить можно?

   Shorter, then. All right, I'll drop the pot, though it's a wise parable, my own father used to tell it. Can I at least keep the wishes?

    I'm with the groom. One sentence, a pause, and I announce the first dance. Take it from an experienced wedding host: they don't call brevity the sister of talent for nothing.
