   The car's as good as new, I'll tell you straight away: never crashed, never repainted, one owner, I wouldn't let a speck of dust settle on it.

   Ninety thousand genuine kilometres, not one more. I only ever drove it to the dacha at weekends.

   Sasha, hold the torch for me... Right, bonnet a hundred and twenty microns, roof a hundred and ten, and the left wing, look at that, four hundred.

   Four hundred? Is that extra-thick factory paint of yours designed for Siberian frosts?

   Ну, крыло подкрашивали слегка, царапинку во дворе поймал. Разве ж это покраска?

   Well, the wing got a little touch-up, I picked up a scratch in the yard. You can hardly call that a respray.

   Царапинка, судя по толщиномеру, была размером с дверь. И дверь, кстати, тоже не родная: зазоры гуляют.

   Judging by the paint gauge, that scratch was the size of a door. And the door isn't original either, by the way: the gaps are uneven.

   We understand. Only the pedal rubbers are worn through, the steering wheel is shiny, and the dashboard says ninety thousand. Quite a record for weekend trips to the dacha.
