Early in the morning in Moscow, an office worker phones the colleague who drives him to work.

    Привет, ты уже выехал? Я у подъезда.

    Hi, have you left yet? I'm outside my building.

  2. B

    Еду. Но по радио сказали, что на кольце авария.

    I'm on my way. But the radio said there's been an accident on the ring road.

  3. A

    Эх, если бы мы выехали пораньше, проскочили бы.

    Oh, if only we'd left a bit earlier, we'd have slipped through.

  4. B

    Ничего, поеду дворами. Буду у тебя минут через десять.

    Never mind, I'll take the back streets. I'll be at your place in about ten minutes.

    Жду. Зато я нам кофе купил.

    I'll be waiting. On the bright side, I got us coffee.

  6. B

    Вот это дело! С кофе и в пробке жить можно.

    Now you're talking! With coffee, even a traffic jam is bearable.
