Well, Vovka, no tail and no scale! We're opening the season, and the weather's perfect.

К чёрту! Слушай, тебе не кажется, что лодка какая-то мягкая стала?
To the devil! Listen, doesn't the boat feel kind of soft to you?

Не было печали! Я же её вчера весь вечер качал.
That's all we needed! I spent all last night pumping it up.

Качать-то качал, а она спускает. Видно, заклеенное осенью место опять не держит.
You pumped it, sure, but it's losing air. The spot we patched in the autumn must be leaking again.

Так, без паники: я гребу к берегу, а ты качай. Насос хоть взял?
Right, no panic: I'll row to the shore, and you pump. Did you at least bring the pump?

Взял, на всякий пожарный. Качаю изо всех сил, только греби быстрее, ноги уже мокрые!
I did, just in case. I'm pumping as hard as I can, just row faster, my feet are already wet!
