Excuse me, how did you make a bear out of ice? He looks so lifelike!

Лёд-то особенный. Блоки, привезённые с Камы, прозрачные, без пузырей.
The ice is special, you see. The blocks brought from the Kama are clear, without bubbles.

And what do you cut it with? A knife?

Смотри: пила, разные ножи, а для гладких мест даже утюг.
Look: a saw, all sorts of knives, and for the smooth spots even an iron.

An iron? Oh, look, the sun's come out! First time in a week!

That's just what I was afraid of. A bear carved in three days, and the sun will spoil it in one.
