Day 71: Drywall Up Nine Floors

In the yard of an apartment building in Novosibirsk, a delivery driver arrives with drywall for a man renovating his apartment on the ninth floor.

    Hello, I've brought the drywall, twenty sheets. Where do I unload it?

    Тут такое дело: грузовой лифт с утра не работает. Поднимете на девятый?

    Here's the thing: the freight elevator has been out since this morning. Could you bring them up to the ninth?

    Пешком на девятый? Нет уж, доставка только до подъезда.

    On foot to the ninth? No way, delivery is only to the entrance.

    А сколько за подъём? У меня от этого ремонта и так голова идёт кругом.

    And how much to carry them up? This renovation already has my head spinning.

    Пятьдесят рублей за лист за этаж. Сломанный лифт, извините, не моя проблема.
