Day 77: A Snowman on the Car Roof

In a courtyard in Mogilev after a heavy snowfall, a man comes out to his car and talks to a father who lives in the same building.

    Извините, не подскажете, чей это снеговик у меня на машине?

    Excuse me, do you know whose snowman this is on my car?

    Моих сыновей работа, простите. Я их уже отругал, но дети есть дети.

    My sons' work, I'm sorry. I've already told them off, but kids will be kids.

    Мне и так заваленную снегом машину чистить, а тут ещё снеговик сверху.

    I have to dig out my snowed-in car as it is, and now there's a snowman on top too.

    Сейчас снимем. Хотя ломать жалко: ребята полдня старались, даже шарф свой отдали.

    We'll get it off now. Though it's a shame to break it: the boys worked on it half the day, they even gave it their own scarf.

    Да, слеплен на совесть. Может, не ломать, а перенести куда-нибудь?

    Yes, it's well made. Maybe instead of breaking it, we could move it somewhere?

    На детскую площадку, она рядом. Берите голову, а я возьмусь за низ.

    To the playground, it's close by. You take the head, and I'll take the bottom.

    Давайте. А сыновьям передайте: снеговик отличный, только место неудачное.

    Let's do it. And tell your sons: the snowman is great, just in the wrong spot.
