Day 14 - Quitting Smoking

Today's Tasks

  1. Read the lesson context.
  2. Listen to the audio clips several times until the sounds feel familiar. Do not repeat aloud—just listen and absorb.
  3. Download the Anki deck and review it daily. It includes all the audio clips in today's lesson for efficient review. Review previous decks if prompted to do so.
  4. Spend at least 30 minutes listening to native Russian audio. It doesn't matter if you don't understand it.

    My health took a hit. I got sick of the morning cough, and I decided to start going to the gym.

    True, smoking and the treadmill don't mix. Seeing any results yet?

    Пока только дышать легче стало. Но всё равно тянет иногда, не без этого.
    So far, I just breathe easier. But I still crave it sometimes, which is to be expected.

    Главное, не срывайся. Перетерпишь пару месяцев - дальше легче будет.
    The main thing is don't relapse. Tough it out for a couple of months, and it'll get easier.

    Да я стараюсь. Надеюсь, в этот раз насовсем брошу.
