   Uncle Seryozha, I've decided to apply for philosophy. Just not a word to Mum yet.

   Philosophy? And what will you be afterwards, the factory philosopher, explaining the meaning of life to the workers?

   So what if I am? The point isn't the profession, it's learning to think.
