I’m here on the highway — the car stalled and won’t start.

Ничего себе. Ты понимаешь, что случилось? Аккумулятор сел или что?

Wow. Do you know what happened? Dead battery or what?

Да кто его знает… Ехал нормально, и вдруг двигатель вырубился. Бензин есть, так что не в нём дело.

Who knows… I was driving fine and suddenly the engine cut out. I have gas, so that’s not it.

Тогда, может, генератор накрылся? Ты пробовал прикурить от другой машины?

Then maybe the alternator died? Did you try jump-starting from another car?

Некому помочь — вокруг ни одной машины. Аварийку включил и сижу, думаю, что дальше делать.

There’s no one to help — not a single car around. I turned on my hazard lights and now I’m sitting here, wondering what to do next.

Эвакуатор вызвать сможешь? Если что, могу скинуть контакт хорошего механика.

Can you call a tow truck? If anything, I can send you a contact for a good mechanic.

Thanks. Send me the mechanic’s number first. A tow truck is only if there’s absolutely no other way.
