   Nikolai Andreyevich, while Olya's out, there's something we need to talk about. From October I'm going on parental leave, and Olya's going back to work.

   You didn't mishear: Olya's been offered the post of chief technologist, so now she's the breadwinner in the family.

   Я, конечно, не против, просто... непривычно как-то. В моё время мужика в декрете весь завод засмеял бы, подкаблучником окрестил.

   I'm not against it, of course, it's just... a bit unusual. In my day the whole factory would have laughed at a man on maternity leave, they'd have branded him henpecked.
