   'The flight is delayed due to weather conditions', and not another word. Do delays like this last long here, do you know?

   С залива туман натянуло, а это до утра. Уж поверьте, я на этих лавках полжизни просидел.

   Fog has rolled in from the bay, and that means till morning. Believe me, I've spent half my life on these benches.

   До утра? У меня в десять встреча с заказчиком, а я, выходит, ночую на лавке.

   Till morning? I've got a meeting with a client at ten, and it turns out I'm sleeping on a bench.

   Встречу и по видеосвязи проведёте, вы же, судя по ноутбуку, айтишник. А вот лавку я бы вам не советовал.

   You can hold the meeting by video call, you're in IT, judging by the laptop. But I wouldn't recommend the bench.

   Why not? The hotels are surely full by now, the whole flight rushed off there.

   Туман, между прочим, только здесь, в низине, а за сопками небо чистое. И на сегодня обещали сильное сияние.

   The fog, by the way, is only down here in the lowland, and beyond the hills the sky is clear. And strong northern lights are forecast for tonight.

   Северное сияние? Я сюда пятый раз летаю и ни разу его не видел: то совещания, то пурга.

   The northern lights? This is my fifth time flying up here, and I've never once seen them: it's always meetings or a blizzard.

   Well, my car's in the car park. Listen, shall we drop the formalities, since we're killing the night together anyway?

   Sure! I'm Andrey. Only my jacket's a city one, I'll freeze stiff on a hill in half an hour.

    А я Гена. Не околеешь: в багажнике тулуп и термос, а Москва от тебя никуда не денется.

    And I'm Gena. You won't freeze: there's a sheepskin coat and a thermos in the boot, and Moscow isn't going anywhere.
