A
Sorry, do we know each other? Your face looks familiar, but I can't place it... Hang on. Bison?!
-
B
Nobody's called me Bison for about twenty years. And you're... Beanpole? Didn't you go to flight school?
-
A
Got in, graduated, and now I'm a captain. And they say you've become a big businessman?
-
B
Big, my foot, building materials. Listen, remember how you smashed the chemistry lab window in tenth grade? Afterwards they dragged us all to the deputy head.
-
A
Me?! You've got it mixed up. I remember perfectly well how you were kicking a ball about under the windows at long break, and then there was a crash.
-
B
Don't give me that, Beanpole. The ball was yours, and in ninety-nine I wasn't into balls at all, I was doing a bit of trade in cassettes at the market.
-
C
Guys, are you on about the window again? Twenty-five years have gone by, and you still can't let it go.
-
A
Professor! You can settle it, you always saw everything. Tell him who broke it.
-
C
I will, seeing as it's the occasion. I broke it: I was climbing in through the window for the class register, to fix my own bad mark in chemistry.
-
B
You?! The Professor, the straight-A student, the pride and joy of the school? No way!
-
C
Yes way. Now I teach chemistry in that very room myself. The register's electronic these days, true, but I don't tell anyone the password, just in case.
