   Лев Аркадьевич, завтра первое апреля, а у нас в институте тишина, как в могильнике. Давайте-ка устроим розыгрыш, да такой, чтоб запомнили.

   Lev Arkadyevich, tomorrow's the first of April, and our institute is as quiet as a nuclear waste dump. Let's play a prank, and one they'll remember.

   А что если приказ? С печатью, по всей форме: «В целях повышения читаемости все отчёты с первого апреля подавать исключительно в стихах».

   What if we do an order? With a stamp, all proper: "In order to improve readability, from the first of April all reports are to be submitted exclusively in verse."

   Гениально! И обязательно «ознакомить под роспись», а то Кузьмин из теоретического отдела не поверит.

   Brilliant! And we must add "all staff to sign to confirm they have read it", or Kuzmin from the theory department won't believe it.

   Kuzmin won't believe it even with signatures, he's a sceptic of the old school. Come on, give me a first line as a sample, you're our poet.

   "The neutron flux has exceeded the norm, which I report, frozen stiff with alarm." A trochee, I think, or an iamb, I don't remember.
