Day 157: Two Identical Spaniels

In a courtyard in Polotsk, a man comes out of his building with his spaniel and sees his neighbor walking a dog.

    Привет, Дим! Мы с Тошкой гулять вышли, а ты чьего это спаниеля выгуливаешь?

    Hi, Dima! Tosha and I have come out for a walk, and whose spaniel are you walking?

  2. B

    Как чьего, твоего! Ты же просил с ним погулять, он у подъезда привязанный сидел.

    What do you mean, whose? Yours! You asked me to walk him, he was sitting tied up by the entrance.

    Я же на вечер просил. Да и Тошка вот он, у меня на поводке.

    But I asked you to do it this evening. And anyway, Tosha is right here, on my leash.

  4. B

    Неужели это Тошка? Как две капли воды... Тогда кто это со мной полчаса по двору гуляет?

    Is that really Tosha? Like two peas in a pod... Then who's been walking round the courtyard with me for half an hour?

    Ну и дела! Разве ты не заметил, что у этого ошейник красный?

    Well, how about that! Didn't you notice this one has a red collar?

    Да кто ж на ошейник смотрит? Он ко мне бросился, будто мы сто лет знакомы.

    Who looks at collars? He threw himself at me as if we'd known each other for ages.

    Так это же Бим из соседнего дома! Бежим скорее, пока хозяин полицию не вызвал.

    Why, that's Bim from the next building! Let's hurry, before his owner calls the police.
