Day 174: Twenty Minutes at the Wrong Wedding

At a restaurant in Astrakhan with two wedding halls, a guest has been chatting at a table with an older man for some time.

    Болтаем уже двадцать минут, а я так и не представился: Олег, мы с Андреем вместе служили.

    We've been chatting for twenty minutes now, and I still haven't introduced myself: Oleg, Andrei and I served in the army together.

    Рашид Ахмедович, дядя невесты. Только жених у нас Тимур, а Андрей в соседнем зале.

    Rashid Akhmedovich, the bride's uncle. Only our groom is Timur, and Andrei is in the hall next door.

    Не на ту свадьбу я пришёл... Вот уж попал пальцем в небо! Простите, я пойду.

    I've come to the wrong wedding... Talk about missing the mark! Excuse me, I'll be going.

    Вместо того чтобы убегать, скажите-ка лучше тост. Молодых зовут Тимур и Алсу!

    Instead of running off, you'd better make a toast. The newlyweds are called Timur and Alsu!
