Day 15: Students' Day After the Exams

On 25 January in Tomsk, two students celebrate in a café after passing their last winter exam.

    Всё, сессия закрыта! Слушай, а почему сегодня Татьянин день, если праздник студенческий?

    That's it, exams are over! Listen, why is today Tatiana's Day if it's a students' holiday?

    Дело в том, что в день святой Татьяны императрица подписала указ об основании Московского университета.

    The thing is, it was on Saint Tatiana's day that the Empress signed the decree founding Moscow University.

    Надо же, а я думал, в честь чьей-то девушки. Ну, за Татьяну и за сессию!
